Kurt L. Ebersole, O.D.

A third generation Findlay native, Dr. Ebersole graduated from Findlay Senior High School in 1971. He attended Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1975 with a B.S. in Biology. Following graduation, he was accepted into The Ohio State University College of Optometry graduating with the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree in 1979. He has been in practice in Findlay since September of 1979.

Dr. Ebersole and his wife Jane believe in being active in the community and both have served on numbers of committees and boards throughout the years. He was president of the Findlay Lions Club in 1985 and chairman of the Lutheran Social Services Foundation Board in 2003. He is currently serving as president of the Associated Charities Board and on the church council of First Lutheran in Findlay.

Dr. Ebersole is a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association and lives in Findlay.

Carla D. Ford, M.D.

Dr. Carla Ford was born in Lima, Ohio. Dr. Ford graduated from Lima Senior High School. Her education continued at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she graduated with a degree in Microbiology. Dr. Ford then obtained a medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and her ophthalmology residency was completed at The Ohio State University Havener Eye Institute. Dr. Ford was the sole recipient of the Housestaff Humanism Award, selected from over 500 resident candidates at the Ohio State University for 2009. Dr. Ford is a current member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

In her spare time Dr. Ford enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching Ohio State sports, and traveling.

Dr. Ford is dedicated to providing compassionate care, with her expertise in comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery.

Stephen H. Orr, M.D.

Dr. Orr grew up near Dayton Ohio and graduated from Miami University. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University of Medicine in 1993. Dr. Orr completed his Ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University, during which he spent time training at Wirral Hospital in Arrowe Park, in England. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Orr joined the Spectrum Eye Care team in 2001. He performs no-stitch, topical anesthesia cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, as well as refractive surgery. Dr. Orr also provides non-surgical ophthalmologic care for acute and chronic eye diseases, in addition to routine preventative eye care.

Dr. Orr is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Medical Association. He is past president of the Hancock County Medical Society. He was President of the medical staff at Blanchard Valley Health Systems as well as a delegate to the Ohio State Medical Association. Dr. Orr has served on the executive board of the Findlay Surgery Center. He is an active member of the Blanchard Valley Health Association, serving on the Continuing Medical Education committee. Dr. Orr serves on the executive board of Hancock Medical Group. He served as a member of the Lima/MCO Health Education Center (LAHEC) board as well.

Dr. Orr and his wife, Dr. Ami Orr, live in Findlay with their twins, Katie and Josh. The family has also hosted international exchange students from Japan, Germany and Russia. Dr. Orr enjoys cycling in his free time.

Laura R. Paulus, O.D.

Dr. Laura R. Paulus joined Spectrum Eye care in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Vision Science and Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. Dr. Paulus completed her Residency in Ocular Disease at the Verterans Administraion in Fort Wayne, Indiana from 2007 to 2008. She then worked at the University of Florida Department of Ophthalmology, as well as teaching a contact lens course for Florida State College in Jacksonville Florida. 

Professionally, Dr. Paulus has a special interest in specialty contact lens fitting. She resides in Tiffin where she enjoys photography and spending time with her family.


J. Scott Stewart, O.D.

J. Scott Stewart, O. D. joined Spectrum Eye Care in 1999. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cincinnati and his Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1979.

He has been active in private practice in Perrysburg since 1979 and taught Ocular Anatomy and Ophthalmic Optics at Owens Community College for 20 years.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association and has served as the Governor of the Toledo Area Optometric Society.

Dr. Stewart and his wife Ginny reside in Perrysburg. They enjoy tennis, sailing and spending time with their granddaughter Piper and two sons Rob and Phil.
