Stephen H. Orr, M.D.

Dr. Orr grew up outside of Dayton Ohio and graduated from Miami University in Systems Analysis. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University of Medicine in 1993. Dr. Orr completed his Ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University, during which he spent time training at Wirral Hospital in Arrowe Park, in England. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Orr joined the Spectrum Eye Care team in 2001. Dr. Orr is an experienced cataract surgeon having performed over 20,000 cataract surgeries. Dr. Orr routinely performs femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery and also performs minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). Dr. Orr also provides non-surgical office ophthalmologic care for acute and chronic eye diseases, in addition to routine preventative eye care.  

Dr. Orr is a long-standing member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Ohio State Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He is past president of the Hancock County Medical Society and the medical staff at Blanchard Valley Health System. He has served as a delegate to the Ohio State Medical Association as well as the executive board of Hancock Medical Group. Dr. Orr is presently serving on the executive board of the Findlay Surgery Center. He is an active member of the Blanchard Valley Health Association, and has served on many committees. He served as a member of the Lima/MCO Health Education Center (LAHEC) board as well.

Dr. Orr and his wife, Dr. Ami Orr, live in Findlay. Their twins, Katie and Josh have graduated from college. The family has also hosted international exchange students from Japan, Germany and Russia. Dr. Orr enjoys cycling in his free time.

Anne Jacobs, M.D.

Dr. Anne Jacobs brings to Spectrum Eye Care her 30 years of ophthalmic surgical skills and experience. She performs traditional and laser assisted cataract surgery at the Findlay Surgery Center. As an added option with cataract surgery she offers Premium lenses to correct distance and near vision. She is thrilled to be part of Spectrum Eye Care and welcomes cataract referrals.

Additionally, she serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor where she supervises and teaches ophthalmology at the University Hospitals Eye Institute in Cleveland and was recently honored with the Attending of the Year Award. She has faculty appointments at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. She performs laser vision correction as well as facial aesthetics in Cleveland.

Dr. Jacobs was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. She received her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1982 after obtaining her degree in Chemistry at Hollins University. Dr. Jacobs did her ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve. She opened her practice in 1986 which she sold after many years, and remains active in the community.

Dr Jacobs has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1987. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American College of Surgeons and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. She is a member of the Ohio Ophthalmological Society and Cleveland Ophthalmological Society. She currently serves on the Community Foundation of Lorain County Grants Committee.

J. Scott Stewart, O.D.

J. Scott Stewart, O. D. joined Spectrum Eye Care in 1999. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cincinnati and his Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1979.

He has been active in private practice in Perrysburg since 1979 and taught Ocular Anatomy and Ophthalmic Optics at Owens Community College for 20 years.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association and has served as the Governor of the Toledo Area Optometric Society.

Dr. Stewart and his wife Ginny reside in Perrysburg. They enjoy tennis, sailing and spending time with their granddaughter Piper and two sons Rob and Phil.

Laura R. Paulus, O.D.

Dr. Laura R. Paulus joined Spectrum Eye Care in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Vision Science and Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. Dr. Paulus completed her Residency in Ocular Disease at the Verterans Administraion in Fort Wayne, Indiana from 2007 to 2008. She then worked at the University of Florida Department of Ophthalmology, as well as teaching a contact lens course for Florida State College in Jacksonville Florida. 

Professionally, Dr. Paulus has a special interest in specialty contact lens fitting. She resides in Tiffin where she enjoys photography and spending time with her family.

Justin A. Moyer, O.D.

Dr. Moyer is a 2007 graduate of Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in Chemistry in 2011. Following graduation, he went on to Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Moyer practiced for 2 years in Saginaw, Michigan before joining the Spectrum Eye Care, Inc. team in 2017. 

Dr. Moyer has many ties to the Hancock County community. His father, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins have attended, taught and worked in, many of the Hancock County Schools and may still live here today.

Dr. Moyer has many hobbies including golf, basketball and watching football. He is a die hard Ohio State fan and enjoys anything to do with The University.

Amber Mathias, OD, MS

Dr. Mathias is a 2011 graduate of New Riegel high school. She attended Bowling Green State University and received a Bachelors of Science in Education in 2014. She then attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry and obtained a Doctorate of Optometry and Masters of Vision Science. While in optometry school, she was very involved including mission trips to provide eye care for those in need in Guatemala and Nicaragua and President of Lions Club. 

Dr. Mathias is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association and Findlay Young Professionals. She hopes to use her training in research to continue to provide the most up-to-date, evidence based care. She is looking forward to providing patients with a lifetime of vision needs. 

She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and traveling. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, sand volleyball and biking.
